In Q4 2023, Viridi acquired an in-progress landfill-to-RNG project at Casella Waste Systems, Inc.’s Bethlehem, New Hampshire, site. The acquisition has breathed new life into the facility, which launched in 2021 as the state’s first landfill gas-to-RNG project.

- This deal showcases Viridi’s ability to deliver on incomplete and challenging RNG projects, while also demonstrating the team’s expertise in structuring deals that benefit all stakeholders, including the local Bethlehem community.
- Once fully operational, the project will generate substantial environmental benefit by capturing the landfill’s naturally occurring methane emissions – which are far more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas – and transforming them into valuable renewable energy.
